Paris short-term rental rules (ops stub)

Primary residence: you may rent a primary residence as a furnished vacation rental for up to 90 nights per year. Exceeding that limit can draw a fine of up to €10,000 per year of exceedance.

Second home / non-primary: renting without the required change-of-use authorization can draw a fine of up to €100,000 (plus daily penalties until compliance, per city guidance).

Registration: a municipal registration number is required and must appear on listings.
